Mystery Print Release Purchasing Contest

O-kee-dokeee, hello faithful friends and flip-happy foes,

This is a very unique release format…so let’s try to lay it down as smooth as possible. The squares pictured above are each different 5″ x 5″  screen print varieties we’ve included in random packs and orders over the years – but none of them have gotten the full size, signed and numbered edition treatment…until now.

Today, we are selling one of the images pictured that we have made into full size print (with at least one dimension measuring 12″). This edition of 105 is printed on a chartreuse paper stock pictured in the second photo. Since this edition is so limited – we are selecting our customers through this “purchasing game” I guess you could call it.

This new mystery print will be $55 + shipping & handling.

Interested customers should:
• Comment only once on this post with 2 guesses of which print it is that we are selling today –  of the 9 pictured (from left to right: Wading, Patiently Perched, In My Head, Line In The Water, Flutter Friend?, Melvook, Suzy, Bask Boost, Enjoy It)

So if there’s certain images you like most, maybe you should pick those – or just your best guess as to which one we are releasing now (others may get called up later). If you guess the correct print you certainly aren’t guaranteed to get an invoice, we likely won’t have enough to get them to everyone who picks correctly. The order of your 2 guesses will probably be a factor, so consider which will be your first and second choice. The quicker you get to commenting on this post, the better chance you have of getting an invoice if you pick correctly. There will be some gnome-discretion to avoid selecting customers that have been instantly reselling prints for profit.

Invoices will be sent from the Shop to the hidden email attached to the comments.

Thanks for playing everyone.

One more thing to note; we actually intended for this particular edition to be much more than 105 prints, but there was a paper issue, so we rolled with it and let this one be a bit of a rarity.

Oh, and one last thing – we will send one of you that doesn’t answer correctly a package with these 9 minis pictured…..for free, it’ll just show up on in you’re mailbox and you’ll be all “Whaaaaaaa?!?!?”

New print dropping in the shop this Wednesday.

A new print is on it’s way. We will be offering these up in the Shop in two separate batches of inventory this Wednesday (2/3), first in the late morning (sometime after 10 am pst) and the second batch will be in the evening (sometime after 7 pm pst). Look for the full reveal of the art this week.

If these do sell out, and if you then miss out – sorry about that. Though do not fret, we got more print releases in the pipe.

“Pepperland” from the Spusta Studio.

“Pepperland” is my 36″ x 24″ 10-color screen print celebrating The Beatles and the amazing 1968 film, Yellow Submarine.

We put everything we had into this one. I had the art in development for over a year and Monolith Press was almost completely devoted to this print run for a few weeks along with Dark Hall Mansion and Apple Corps showing a lot of support and patience through out. This was a passion project for us.

While most of the Pepperland prints have already been sold through Dark Hall Mansion a few weeks ago, there is a substantial stack left that we will be releasing through the shop this Wednesday (11/11) sometime after 4pm pst. The majority of the inventory will be the Main Editions of 455 on cream stock, with some Gold Editions of 150 that will be available as well. (Sorry, we quietly sold the Foils last week). The price on the remaining inventory from the Studio will be marked up from what Dark Hall Mansion originally released their copies for.

OK. One more thing…we are going to add a little begging customer lottery invoicing thing here too. As mentioned, I put a lot into this one and want true Beatles/Spusta fans to be able to get one for themselves or their family/friends – so, we’ll send some invoices for the main edition to some commenters here before and after the drop on Wednesday.

Pepperland Begging Customer Lottery Instructions:
• You are not eligible for this lottery if you already got a version from DHM’s sale. Thank you for helping us spread these around.
• To enter, comment on this post, the email you enter into the hidden field will be the one we send a Spusta Shop invoice to if picked.
• In ten words or less, why do you want to buy the print? (free range on the punctuation, but if you put 11 words in the comment we won’t pick you)

TRPS Festival of Rock Posters in SF and a Sprinkle of Spusta at NY Comic Con.

It’s that time of year again where so many of the gigposter artists of past and present get together with many collectors the Hall of Flowers, Golden Gate Park in San Francisco on October 24th. The Spusta Studio booth will feature a variety of prints and posters for sale with a strong emphasis on music related art.  Of course Marq will also bring his pens and pencils to sign and doodle for collectors (he does not encourage people to bring prints to draw on, but rather to purchase items from his booth for doodling).

Here’s the details: trps.org

There’s talk a special TRPS release of some kind…

Also, if any of you are attending New York Comic Con in a few weeks, Spoke Art (booth #504) will be releasing some mini prints of one of Marq’s popular images.

Wednesday 9/23 Sale?

There is not much planned for release tomorrow, just a few odds and ends (less than 30 Gov’t Mule and Green Moe. posters). So we really don’t recommend wasting your day refreshing the Shop, that would be a horrible use of your time.

There are plans for some upcoming release days with more than 500 inventory of a product, so all of you that have been missing out on our more limited inventory release as of late, be patient – we want to get you art!

Bad Luck Blues Give-Away

Hi Friends.

We have packed up a few surprise mini print packs that we’d like to give-away today.

This contest will only be open for a short time, and is only eligible to our customers who have have bad luck in our recent string of lottery art sales.

If you’ve missed out on most of the Spusta Studio lotteries since the “Listening” drop/lottery, than maybe this little contest will turn your luck around.

Comment to enter this give-away if…
– You are a previous Spusta Studio customer and we have your address and info in our system.
– You have missed out on most all the lotteries you entered this year. (If you won at least 2 lottos, you won’t be selected in this contest)
– Let us know how bad your luck has been…what’s your Spusta Lotto Success Stats
(0 out of 5 lotteries? 1 for 7? And if you did win one, which one was it?)

We are pleased to be able to turn a few people’s luck around this Wednesday, we realize the limited releases and customer lotteries have been disappointing to many of you.
